The battery monitoring IC that we are developing, which estimates the internal state of a battery, is equipped with functions for monitoring voltage and calculating the state of charge (SOC), as well as a function that enables simultaneous AC impedance measurement of multiple cells using the AC superposition method, even in the battery pack state, making it possible to estimate the battery's state of health (SOH) and internal temperature. - [New Product] Industrial Battery Monitoring ICs ('25/2/12 press release)

Nuvoton has developed new battery monitoring ICs "KA49701A" and "KA49702A" that support 17-cell industrial batteries. They enable maximum use of battery performance and simple and safe system construction.
*This product is a new release that was announced in a press release on February 12, 2025. For more details, please click here - Low Power Consumption Hydrogen Sensor Technology

We envision a safe and secure hydrogen society where wireless, battery-powered hydrogen detectors identify leaks in various locations. To achieve this, we develop ultra-low power consumption hydrogen sensor technology. Our sensors consume less than 1/10,000th the power of competitors, enabling wireless communication and long battery life. This enables hydrogen detection in previously challenging areas, facilitates remote leak management, reduces operation and maintenance costs.

Booth Presentation Schedule
Battery Monitoring IC Solution for Estimating Internal Battery State | 11:30- / 15:00- |
---|---|
Our battery monitoring IC can simultaneously measure AC impedance for multiple cells in a battery pack state, allowing for quick estimation of battery degradation (SOH) and internal temperature on a cell-by-cell basis. In this seminar, we will introduce the features of the AC impedance measurement technology equipped in our IC. | |
New Sensor Technology Required for Safety and Security in a Hydrogen Society | 13:00- / 15:30- |
We will introduce a wireless battery-powered hydrogen detector (demo unit) using our ultra-low power hydrogen sensor technology under development. This technology enables hydrogen leak detection in previously difficult-to-install locations and spatial hydrogen leak detection through multiple installations, proposing a new way of ensuring safety and security in hydrogen utilization. | |
Technology that Balances Battery Safety and Cost Reduction in Industrial Equipment | 14:00- / 16:00- |
With the recent proliferation of AI servers, many lithium-ion batteries are being used in backup power supplies and large-scale storage batteries. In this seminar, we will introduce the importance and role of battery monitoring ICs in industrial applications, along with an introduction to our industrial battery monitoring ICs. |
