Certification of International Standard "ISO 50001" for Energy Management Systems
Kyoto, Japan, March 31, 2025 - Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan (NTCJ) has achieved certification for the international standard "ISO 50001" for energy management systems.
"ISO 50001", established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is a management system standard that aims for continuous improvement of energy performance by visualizing and quantitatively evaluating energy use and efficiency.
In recent years, with the increase in energy consumption, resource sustainability has become important, and companies are required to improve energy efficiency and manage energy sustainably to reduce environmental impact.
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of all its corporate activities to "realize a safe and happy society that stands by people with providing sustainable semiconductors". To date, We have achieved certifications for "ISO 14001※1" and "ISO 14064※2".
This time, We have introduced a management system based on "ISO 50001" to continuously improve energy performance. By regularly monitoring, evaluating, and implementing improvement measures for energy usage, We aim to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and lower environmental impact.
Additionally, We are focusing on human resource development to engage in energy management and optimize energy efficiency across the organization.
We will continue to provide environmentally friendly products towards the goal of achieving net zero※3 by 2050.
